Is Netflix Reviving Jericho?

Well, the rumor mill just keeps on churning on this one.

It's appearing more and more likely that Netflix is seriously looking into acquiring the rights and bringing a return to Jericho.

According to TV Guide, (I know this article is from a couple months ago, but this article is now resurfacing on a lot of blogs):

Repeats of Jericho remain popular on Netflix's on-demand service, even four years after the show's cancellation. Insiders say Netflix execs would love to emulate the revival of Fox's Arrested Development, which is expected to return on Netflix with new episodes in 2013, seven years after the show ended its run. Like Arrested fans, Jericho's are a passionate bunch: CBS renewed the post-apocalyptic show for a second season in 2007 after viewers bombarded the network with cases of peanuts.

I honestly think that Jericho fans might be some of the most passionate fans I've come across on the Internet in the past few years. It's fascinating to see what types of things people can get accomplished when people try hard enough to get things done.

If Jericho fans continue to fight, I think that it's only a matter of time until we see a return of the show on Netflix Instant.

What do you think? Do you think that Netflix should revive Jericho?

The Confession: Netflix Hidden Gem Surprises

As of now, I've never watched 24. I just never got around to it, and before I knew it, there was a decade's worth of episodes to watch, and I just didn't have the energy to try to get into it. So I don't know how this compares.

The Confession stars Kiefer Sutherland and John Hurt, in what I presume is a very 24-esque mini-movie. I say mini-movie in the most literal way possible, because apparently the way this movie was released was in several-minute intervals, every week to an online audience.

That's a cool idea for a distribution method for something as short as this, and with the content being released every week being so short, you can without a doubt presume that there is going to be a LOT going on in every single one of those minutes.

You can sometimes tell when one of the online "episodes" ended, but for the most part, the "movie" flows pretty smoothly. There's a lot going on, but if you're looking for something short and compact, this might be the perfect movie for you to watch!

Add it to your queue if you're a fan of 24, or are just in the mood to watch something that's going to be fast-paced and isn't an incredibly long film.

Backup, Export, Print, Save your Netflix Ratings

Have you ever wanted to be able to take out the Netflix ratings that you've spent so much time punching into the Netflix website? Somebody created a system in which to be able to backup and export so that you can even print your Netflix ratings.

I'm not sure what kinds of things you'd use this for, but somebody out there might be able to find some cool or interesting uses for it. Let us know if you're planning on using the tool.

Top 10 Dramas on Netflix - July 2012

Listed below are the movies that we consider to make the list of the Top 10 dramas that are currently streaming on Netflix Instant for the month of July!

One BILLION Hours

Netflix has announced that for the first time in a single month, Netflix subscribers have collectively streamed over one BILLION hours of video in June

Netflix is trying to wean people off DVDs to save on mailing costs and reduce its investment on a format that it expects to become obsolete. Delivering Internet video is quicker and less expensive than discs, but the streaming selection isn't as extensive as what's available on DVDs. To compensate, Netflix has been spending tens of millions of dollars during the past two years to add more compelling titles.

Netflix's increasing popularity indicates that those efforts are resonating with subscribers. That's important because it helps validate a strategy that called for Netflix Inc. to invest heavily in video-licensing fees, even though the spending is expected to saddle the company with an annual loss this year – the first time that has happened in a decade.

Of course, this is big news for Netflix, especially as they've made it abundantly clear how important it is to become a much more Internet streaming-oriented company compared to continuing to be DVD-based.

This is excited, and we were all part of a major milestone!
