Viacom and Netflix Expand Streaming Deal

Just when you thought you might be losing some of your favorite shows from streaming (I know plenty of you were afraid of losing South Park), Netflix pulls through once again by not only keeping all those shows you were afraid of losing, but expanding the library even more!

From Netflix:
Starting today, we are bringing you some great new shows and additional seasons of favorites from Viacom’s family of cable channels. From Nickelodeon, now available to watch instantly for the first time is “Yo Gabba Gabba,” as well as additional episodes of “Spongebob SquarePants,” "True Jackson VP," “iCarly,” and “Dora the Explorer."

From MTV, new episodes of “Jersey Shore” and “The Hills” are on Netflix as are, for the first time, “The Buried Life” and “The City.” We also have new shows from BET like “American Gangster,” additional episodes of Comedy Central gems like “The Sarah Silverman Show,” and all kinds of fun TV from VH1, Logo and Spike.
Although I'm not a big fan of many of these new shows (I simply refuse to go anywhere near Jersey Shore) this is obviously good news, as it's always good to hear when Netflix is able to reach a deal with a company they've worked with before - especially when that new deal is even better!

They still nixed a large amount of Comedy Central content that will never ever see DVD releases... the entirety of Comedy Central presents, Premium Blend, Live at Gotham, etc as well as Strangers with Candy, UCB, The State, Michael and Michael Have Issues, and more.
